The General Division for Gold and Jewelry of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce announced the results of the second edition of the international exhibition “NEBU ” for gold and jewelry, which ended its activities two days ago. And Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the presence of 500 international visitors and 100 international buyers from 18 countries of the Arabian Gulf and Africa, in addition to about 7 thousand visitors over the days of the exhibition from retailers and local buyers.
Milad added that the latest version of “NEBU” witnessed a doubling of the display area compared to the first version, which was held last February, as the area in the current version reached about 7,500 square meters, an increase of 200% over the first version, and four international pavilions were added to the exhibition compared to the previous version.
The second edition of the exhibition was launched under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministers of Supply, Internal Trade, Trade and Industry, the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the General Division of Gold and Gold Artifacts in the Federation of Chambers of Commerce.
Milad indicated that many new activities have been added on the sidelines of the new edition of the exhibition, where ten winners will be announced in the jewelery design competition, in partnership with a design school for the international designer Azza Fahmy, Habiba Abdel Qader in the first place, Amal Farouk in the second place, and Samar Al-Shennawy. In the third place, Carole Hanoush, Marwa Refaat, Rasha Al-Kaser, Salma Halawa, Bodour Al-Budour, Zahra Haji and Sarah Ashraf. The exhibition also witnessed the establishment of the first live jewelry show, “Devilliers” on the sidelines of the activities of the second day, which met with great demand and success in the state circles for the production of jewelry. Representatives of international institutions for design and production of jewelry indicated Stay tuned for a new version of this contest, The last day of the exhibition was allocated for direct sale to the public.
Milad explained that the division succeeded in transforming “NEBU” into an international exhibition by motivating all international jewelry-producing institutions to participate in displaying the latest international lines and trends in design and the latest production technologies in front of the Egyptian industry and jewelry trade, and comparing the quality of the Egyptian product with the latest international standards and creating export opportunities for Egyptian jewelry. To international markets and encourage this important economic sector to grow rapidly in order to achieve the desired dream of transforming Masrali into an international and regional center for the manufacture and trade of gold and jewelry.
Milad thanked all the governmental institutions that participated strongly and spared no effort to make the exhibition a success. He thanked Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, for his support to the Division for the success of all the exhibition’s activities, and Engineer Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Arabi, President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce for his support to gold dealers and presentation All the necessary facilities and care for the completion of the exhibition and the success of the Stamp and Scales Authority headed by Major General Ahmed Suleiman, which provided all the necessary facilities for the exhibitors and the Egyptian Customs Authority headed by Shahat Al-Ghatouri to facilitate the entry and exit of the exhibits and international exhibitors to the Egyptian lands to participate in the exhibition.
