Starting the evaluation of the advanced works for the jewelry design competition and announcing the winners during the International Gold Exhibition “NEBU” next week
Hani Milad Gaied, head of the General Division for Gold and Jewelery at the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, announced the end of the deadline for receiving artistic works for jewelry design and the start of evaluating the works that submitted and met the necessary conditions within the framework of the jewelry design competition held on the sidelines of the Second International Exhibition of Gold and Jewelry “Nabio”, which is scheduled to be held in the period from From the 10th to the 12th of next month, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the General Division of Gold and Jewelry in the Federation of Chambers of Commerce.
Gaied added that the number of applicants until the end of the deadline for receiving works reached 226 applicants, and ten works will be selected from them to win the prizes.
Gaied explained that the competition is the first of its kind in the Egyptian market, as the commercial division adopts motivating creators in the fields of design, opening the door to new talents and supporting them in implementing their artistic works and putting them on the market, pointing out the importance of this in creating a new generation of creators familiar with international standards and design lines.
For her part, the international designer and general supervisor of the competition, Azza Fahmy, said that the advanced works will be filtered among them in three stages based on the rules and conditions of the competition, which were announced in terms of display method, dimensions and executable designs to select 25 works to reach the final stage and compete for The ten awards announced.
She pointed out that the first stage is to ensure that the works comply with the general conditions of the competition, and the second stage is to select 25 works to reach the final stage to select the winning works from them and announce the winners during the last day of the second international exhibition of gold and jewelry “NEBU”. Fahmy added that the jury includes the international artist Rachel Chiodo, who has a long experience in designing and implementing jewelry in the American markets, and the international jewelry designer Iman Sami, who has a long history in designing and implementing jewelry, the Egyptian artist Marwa Al-Dakan, and the Palestinian designer Fadwa Nayef, who participated in many She is one of the international festivals, whether in design or implementation of jewelry, and she also has extensive experience in training designers.
